Slovenian Minister Borut Rončević faces criticism over responsibility‑shifting annexes

Minister Borut Rončević’s Ministry of Education, Science and Youth required its employees to sign annexes that shift liability for content, legal and accounting errors to senior officials. Union leader Andrej Zorko and legal experts argue the clauses cannot override statutory responsibilities, saying “Aneks ne može obiti zakonsko opredeljenih odgovornosti.”

At the same time, staff at the Slovenian Labor Inspectorate sent an anonymous letter exposing what they describe as privileged title grants, obstruction of promotions, opaque performance‑related pay and a bloated hierarchy of sub‑secretaries. The letter calls for clarification from Inspectorate head Katja Čoh‑Kragolnik and labour minister Anže Logar.
