Slovenian municipalities conduct speed enforcement campaigns

The Intermunicipal Police, operating within municipalities included in the Maribor Joint Municipal Administration, is conducting a series of speed enforcement actions across several Slovenian municipalities throughout September.

In the Rače-Fram municipality, speed checks using vehicle-mounted measuring devices are scheduled between September 7 and September 11. Similar enforcement actions have taken place in Lovrenc na Pohorju and Ruše, with upcoming operations planned for Kungota on September 10 and in Sveti Jurij v Slovenskih Goricah.

The primary objective of these measures is to increase road safety and encourage responsible driving. Authorities emphasize that speeding remains a major risk factor for accidents, as even a slight increase in speed significantly extends braking distances and increases the severity of collisions. Drivers are urged to exercise particular caution in areas with pedestrians, cyclists, children, and the elderly.
