Regional sports and public infrastructure projects undergo major upgrades

Various municipalities across Central and Southeast Europe are investing in sports and public recreational infrastructure.

In Croatia, the historic Park Gradac in Dubrovnik has undergone its first comprehensive renovation in nearly 130 years. The project, valued at approximately 4.6 million euros, includes the planting of 401 new trees and the preservation of existing greenery to provide a space for community gathering and outdoor activities.

In Slovenia, several sports facilities are seeing upgrades. Slovenska Bistrica has opened a renovated stadium and athletics track following a 3.6 million euro investment. In Cerklje, the Velesovo football center has been expanded with new artificial turf pitches and energy renovations totaling 1.5 million euros. Additionally, Slovenj Gradec has completed a new multi-purpose playground, and Novo mesto is temporarily closing the Portoval stadium for a 340,000 euro track renovation to meet World Athletics standards.

In the Czech Republic, Brtnice is preparing to build a pumptrack and skatepark with a budget of nearly 9 million koruna. Meanwhile, Brno has selected a provider for a new unified municipal application to handle city services, a project valued at 49.3 million koruna.
