Slovenian police report fraud and weapon seizures

Police in Slovenia have reported several criminal incidents and public safety matters across different regions. In the Celje area, authorities handled a significant fraud case where a victim was deceived via Messenger by an individual posing as a female soldier in Yemen. The victim was manipulated into transferring approximately €40,000 to various Turkish bank accounts.

Other incidents in the Celje region included a transformer station fire in Ljubija caused by a short circuit, the theft of 80 newly planted shrubs in Muta, and various thefts of wallets and documents in Radlje ob Dravi and Ravne na Koroškem.

In the Kočevje area, the Ljubljana Police Administration responded to two separate reports of gunfire. In the first instance, a man was found firing a blank-firing Retay 92 pistol into the air during a private celebration; the weapon and six shell casings were seized. In a second incident near Dolga vas, police intercepted three minors on mopeds, one of whom was found in possession of a signal flare gun that resembled a real firearm. Legal proceedings are being initiated against the involved individuals.
