Slovenian Prime Minister outlines economic development priorities
Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob has identified the need to unlock the nation's development potential by improving conditions for investment, work, and economic growth. He noted that while Slovenia remains competitive in low-wage sectors, it struggles to compete in high-value-added industries due to an excessive tax burden on productive work.
Key government priorities include preparing revised budgets for the current and upcoming years and reorganizing the state administration, which has seen a reduction from 20 to 15 ministries. The Prime Minister also addressed the upcoming referendum on December 6 regarding the Act Determining Intervention Measures for the Development of Slovenia, emphasizing that comprehensive measures are necessary to support both employees and pensioners.
