Slovenian Resnica party faces internal split as Samo Juršič exits

Party leader Zoran Stevanović announced that Samo Juršič, who headed the party’s organisation during the election campaign, is leaving Resnica. The party claims the departure was not voluntary and attributes it to internal disagreements.

Stevanović said 15 members have left the party since the recent parliamentary elections, while more than a thousand new members have joined. He accused the departing members of seeking personal ambition, money and media attention, describing them as “disruptive and demanding money.” The party also reiterated its refusal to cooperate with the SDS, despite recent coalition talks.

The internal clash reflects broader tensions within Resnica as it seeks to consolidate its position ahead of future elections, with the leadership warning that the departures will not calm the party’s internal disputes.
