Slovenian riders Gajser and Pancar place in top five at Czech MXGP

At the Czech Grand Prix in Loket on 26 July, Slovenian motocross rider Tim Gajser (Yamaha) finished third in the second race, helping him secure fifth place overall in the MXGP standings with 489 points. He started the second race strongly and avoided a crash that affected several competitors, while Dutch champion Jeffrey Herlings won both races and extended his lead in the championship.

Jan Pancar, Gajser’s compatriot, ended the event in eighth place overall after a 12th‑place finish in the first race and a seventh place in the second. He said the Loket circuit’s steep, step‑like sections made bike‑setup crucial and credited new suspension settings and a strong start for his improved performance. The riders look ahead to the next Grand Prix in Lommel, Belgium, where hot weather will present new challenges.
