Slovenian right‑wing coalition outlines priorities and seeks Resnica votes

A coalition of centre‑right parties in Slovenia – NSi, SLS, Fokus and others – has presented a 20‑point programme aimed at turning the country into a competitive, socially responsible state. The document stresses “high development, competitiveness and social responsibility,” promotes merit‑based wages, decentralisation, housing schemes for young people, energy security and digitalisation of public services, and frames the family as the core solution to demographic challenges.

Prime Minister‑designate Janez Janša said the coalition has already aligned the basic outlines of the coalition pact and expects to finalise the concrete content within a week. He outlined the next steps: agreeing on ministry allocations, then proposing candidates for prime minister and the full cabinet. Janša added that the coalition is counting on the votes of the Resnica party, which despite remaining in opposition, has indicated sufficient programmatic overlap to support the government’s formation.

Both the policy programme and the timetable signal that the new right‑wing government aims to implement its agenda promptly after securing the parliamentary majority.
