Slovenian summer skin issues: acne spikes and sunscreen stains
Health experts in Slovenia explain that higher temperatures, increased sweating, humidity and richer skin‑care products during summer can trigger acne breakouts. The heat stimulates oil glands, enlarges pores and combines with residual skin cells and makeup, leading to clogged pores and more visible blemishes. They advise lighter, non‑comedogenic moisturisers and regular cleansing to minimise eruptions.
Separate advice addresses yellow or brown stains left by sunscreen creams that contain avobenzone. The chemical reacts with minerals in water, colouring fabrics and upholstery. Simple removal steps include scraping excess cream, pre‑treating stains with enzymatic cleaners or diluted vinegar/alcohol solutions, and washing promptly. For stubborn marks, a mix of dish detergent, vinegar and warm water can be applied before laundering.
