Slovenian Women's Football League Kicks Off 35th Season Ahead of European Push

The 35th season of Slovenia's top‑flight women's football league (Triglav) starts on 9 August 2026 with eleven clubs competing. Defending champions Mura Nona, led by coach Ivan Dizdar and bolstered by top scorer Ana Milović, aim to retain the league and cup titles and begin their Champions League qualifier on 5 August.

Radomlje, the previous season’s runners‑up, are preparing for their historic debut in European competition. Player Sara Gradišek highlighted the team’s heightened ambitions, saying the squad is “preparing for something bigger” beyond domestic play. The club, under coach Matej Rožič Mavrič, will face a strengthened Olimpija and hopes to make a strong showing in the upcoming European qualifying draw on 11 August.

The season features several notable transfers, including returns and new signings such as Ana Milović to Olimpija and additions like Ivana Boričić and Dominique Bruinenberg for Radomlje. A qualification tournament will also see Slovenian sides meet Romanian club Farul Constanta and other regional opponents.
