Slovenia's KPK investigates Ministry of Health advertising spending

The Slovenian Commission for the Prevention of Corruption (KPK) has launched a preliminary examination into allegedly controversial advertising expenditures by the Ministry of Health.

The investigation follows reports that the ministry spent approximately 25,000 euros on advertising slots on Planet TV during August. Concerns have been raised regarding the timing and effectiveness of these advertisements, as a significant portion of the spots were reportedly aired during late-night hours when viewership is minimal.

Some reports suggest the ministry had access to 150,000 euros for such purposes, partly sourced from EU funds. The KPK will determine if there are grounds to suspect violations of the law or corruption related to these procurement processes.
