Slovenská pošta enables free mail redirection to BalíkoBOX

Slovenská pošta has introduced a new service allowing customers to redirect registered mail to BalíkoBOX terminals for free. This service aims to provide greater flexibility, moving away from the traditional requirement of visiting a physical post office branch upon receiving a notification slip.

BalíkoBOX terminals are accessible 24/7, allowing users to collect parcels at their convenience. Once a shipment is placed in a box, customers receive an SMS or email containing a PIN code to access the compartment. Customers have two full calendar days to collect their items, excluding the day of deposit.

Data indicates high adoption rates, with a significant majority of redirected mail staying within the same city or between nearby municipalities. In June, 62% of customers collected their redirected shipments on the same day they were placed in the box.
