Slow Food releases 2027 Osterie d’Italia guide
Slow Food Editore has released the 37th edition of its ‘Osterie d’Italia’ guide, identifying the best osterias and trattorias across Italy for 2027. The guide, which is a significant publication in the Italian food market, awards its highest distinction, the ‘Chiocciola’ (Snail), to establishments that demonstrate exceptional quality and alignment with Slow Food values.
In the regional rankings for the ‘Chiocciola’ award, Campania holds the top position with 34 recipients, followed by Piemonte with 31. Emilia-Romagna, Toscana, and Puglia each recorded 26 awards. The 2027 guide features a total of 1,952 addresses, including 175 ‘daily venues’ such as pasta shops, gourmet groceries, and wine bars with kitchens.
Other recognitions within the guide include the ‘Bottiglia’ (Bottle) for wine selection, awarded to 627 establishments, and the ‘Bere Bene’ award, given to 228 locations. The guide will be available in bookstores starting October 21 and via app from November 3.
