Slow Horses season six to adapt two Mick Herron novels

The Apple TV+ spy drama ‘Slow Horses’ is returning for its sixth season, which will adapt two novels by Mick Herron: ‘Joe Country’ and ‘Slough House’. This marks the first season produced without showrunner Will Smith, with Gaby Chiappe taking on the role of head writer.

The new season features a plot where the Slough House team goes on the run following a mysterious erasure from the MI5 archives. Jackson Lamb, played by Gary Oldman, must investigate the disappearance of former agents while navigating a retaliation plot. The season is expected to include high-stakes action, humor, and character reckonings, including a storyline involving a teenager and a significant cliffhanger.

Due to the adaptation of two books, the season involves combining multiple plots and character arcs, which may result in a faster-paced narrative with several simultaneous storylines.
