SMAG Mobile Antenna Masts secures 6 million Euro defense contract

SMAG Mobile Antenna Masts AG has secured a service contract valued at approximately 6 million Euro from a European Tier 1 customer. The order involves upgrading existing mobile mast systems to support expanded mission-critical defense operations within Europe.

Despite this new contract and a robust order backlog of 1.4 billion Euro, the company reported mixed financial results for the first half of 2026. While total performance rose by 20 percent to 20.2 million Euro and revenue increased by 15 percent to 12.6 million Euro, adjusted EBIT dropped from 2.7 million to 0.5 million Euro. This margin compression from 16.3 percent to 2.6 percent is attributed to costs associated with capacity expansion and an unfavorable project and product mix.

On a positive note, free cash flow improved from minus 1.5 million to plus 0.6 million Euro, supported by higher customer advances. The company confirmed its 2026 annual guidance, projecting total performance between 55 and 60 million Euro with an adjusted EBIT margin of 19 to 21 percent.
