Small business entrepreneurs launch new ventures in France

In France, two entrepreneurs are finding success through new business ventures. Corinne Thibaudet, 55, has transitioned from a career as a childminder and retail salesperson to become a full-time artisanal candle maker. Her company, Pitchoun décoration, focuses on vegetable wax products and operates out of a home-based workshop and showroom.

In Vimoutiers, 19-year-old Élise Dubu has launched Authentik Normandie Event, a business specializing in event equipment rental. Despite her young age, Dubu reports strong initial demand and rapid growth since starting the company in May. Her interest in entrepreneurship stems from a background in retail and her family's woodworking business.
