Small business owners face mental health challenges and resource needs

Small business owners face significant mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and burnout. Research indicates that over half of small business owners have experienced poor mental health, with one in three reporting burnout. These issues are often linked to long working hours, with owners averaging 46 hours per week, and taking fewer than 20 days of annual leave.

To address these challenges, the Utah Small Business Summit & Expo will take place on October 14 at the Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy. The event aims to provide entrepreneurs with education and networking opportunities. The agenda includes sessions on artificial intelligence, marketing, funding, and taxes, as well as specific discussions regarding the mental health challenges associated with running a small business.
