Small business owners report confidence despite operational friction
Research from the Capital One Insights Center reveals a divide in the small business sector. While 75% of surveyed owners with multiple employees and annual revenues up to $20 million express confidence in their future, 69% believe their businesses are actively primed for growth.
Despite this optimism, operational challenges persist. Approximately 47% of business owners reported that their operations either remained the same or became less efficient over the past year, often due to fragmented financial systems and back-office friction. Additionally, 78% of small business owners reported feeling stressed and uncertain regarding expense management, citing tasks such as manual data entry and receipt tracking as significant burdens.
