Small businesses urged to improve financial planning for 2027
As the end of 2026 approaches, small businesses are encouraged to organize their financial management to prepare for 2027. Research conducted by the financial institution Cora, in partnership with Hibou, indicates that many entrepreneurs still rely on manual methods for financial control. Specifically, 37% of entrepreneurs use manual notes such as notebooks, a figure that rises to 45% among individual micro-entrepreneurs (MEIs).
Igor Senra, CEO of Cora, notes that while manual notes do not inherently mean poor management, having a structured system facilitates better decision-making during unexpected financial events. When faced with unforeseen circumstances, common reactions among small businesses include cutting costs (37%), running promotions to generate cash (34%), or using personal funds (25%).
