Small Town Scandal comedy series expands globally

The New Zealand comedy series ‘Small Town Scandal’ is set for international distribution via BBC Studios. Originally a successful iHeartRadio podcast, the project was adapted for the small screen by comic Tom Sainsbury.

Starring Sainsbury alongside Rose Matafeo, Morgana O’Reilly, and Felicity Kendal, the series follows a disgraced journalist turned podcast host who returns to his rural hometown to investigate the suspicious death of his millionaire uncle. The show, which aired on Sky New Zealand, serves as a parody of the true crime genre.
