SMAN 2 Katingan Kuala wins National Four Pillars MPR Quiz

SMAN 2 Katingan Kuala from Central Kalimantan has emerged as the first-place winner of the 2026 National Four Pillars MPR Quiz Competition (LCC Empat Pilar MPR). The grand final, held at the Nusantara IV Building in the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, saw the school outperform SMAN 8 South Jakarta, which took second place. SMAN 1 Tanjung Selor from North Kalimantan secured third place, followed by SMAN 2 Bogor in fourth.

The victory for SMAN 2 Katingan Kuala was marked by significant challenges, as one team member, Abdul Malik, was unable to compete due to a medical emergency involving seizures. Despite requiring treatment at the MPR Polyclinic, Malik attended the award ceremony in a wheelchair to support his teammates.

Abraham Liyanto, Chairman of the MPR Socialization Body, noted that the competition is designed to move beyond rote memorization. The contest utilizes case studies to encourage students to apply reasoning, legal foundations, and national values to solve complex problems, aiming to deepen their understanding of Pancasila and national principles.
