Smara hosts scientific seminars and documentary exhibition

The local scientific council of Smara, in partnership with the provincial delegation for Islamic affairs, organized a series of scientific seminars titled ‘Values and Ethics through the Prophet’s Biography.’ These events were held at the Zawiyas of Sheikh Sidi Ahmed Rekibi, Sheikh Ma al-Aynayn, and Sidi Ahmed al-Arousi to commemorate the first anniversary of the ‘Unity Feast’ and the 1,500th anniversary of the Prophet’s birth.

The seminars focused on the religious, educational, and social dimensions of the Prophet’s biography, emphasizing its role in reinforcing national and religious constants and promoting social cohesion. Participants discussed the historical interest of the Alaouite dynasty in the Prophet’s biography and the importance of spreading principles of moderation.

In conjunction with the seminars, the Tabayyun Association for Science, Heritage, and Development organized a thematic documentary exhibition at the Zawiya of Sheikh Ma al-Aynayn. The exhibition showcased the civilization and heritage of Smara through various historical themes, including the construction of the Zawiya, its library, and its spiritual and political connections to the Alaouite monarchy.
