Smart Agriculture Technology Summit to be held in Little Rock

The IWRC Smart Agriculture Technology Summit is scheduled for October 13, 2026, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Organized by IEEE-USA and the IEEE Japan office in partnership with Japan’s National Agriculture and Food Research Organization (NARO) and the IEEE Smart Agri Initiative, the event aims to accelerate collaboration between the United States and Japan in the agricultural sector.

The summit will focus on themes such as food security, AI, robotics, and precision agriculture. Discussions will cover various topics including open-field agriculture, controlled environment agriculture, and food technology. The event seeks to combine Japan’s expertise in agricultural robotics and AI with Arkansas’s large-scale food production capabilities to improve global productivity and efficiency.

Participants will have opportunities to engage with NARO leadership and entrepreneurs from both nations. The program also includes invitation-only site visits to major agricultural institutions within Arkansas to observe next-generation technologies in practice.
