Smart Ambulance project introduces mobile emergency units via 5G

The Smart Ambulance project has been introduced in Naples, aiming to transform emergency vehicles into mobile hospital units. Developed by the Bourelly Group in partnership with CoRiTeL, TIM Enterprise, and supported by the Unione Industriali Napoli, the initiative utilizes ultra-fast 5G connectivity to provide low-latency communication.

This technology allows for the real-time transmission of critical clinical data, including ECGs, vital signs, diagnostic images, multiparametric monitoring, and high-definition video. By connecting ambulances, emergency dispatch centers, doctors, and hospitals, the project seeks to bring specialist expertise directly to the scene of an emergency. The goal is to create a digital healthcare ecosystem that can eventually be exported to international markets.
