Smart Fit gym closed at Eladio Rosabal Cordero stadium

The Smart Fit gym, located on the fourth floor of the new Eladio Rosabal Cordero stadium, has been closed by the Municipality of Heredia and the Ministry of Health.

The closure follows the expiration of the establishment's municipal license, as the company failed to submit a renewal request meeting the necessary requirements. Additionally, the Ministry of Health has suspended the facility's Sanitary Operating Permit due to technical and regulatory non-compliance.

Authorities cited several issues in a sanitary order, including concerns regarding accessibility conditions, sanitary requirements, human safety, and the regularity of construction works. The gym is situated within an infrastructure that is still under construction. Reopening is contingent upon the company regularizing its administrative, technical, and sanitary status with the relevant authorities.
