Smart Home Market Grows as Apple Prepares HomePad Hub and Wiśniowski Launches QR‑Code Garage Gate
Apple is developing a new smart‑home hub, unofficially called "HomePad," featuring a 7‑inch touchscreen, tvOS‑based interface and an AI‑enhanced Siri that will manage lighting, security cameras, video calls and other connected devices. The device, slated for a presentation between late 2026 and early 2027, will also support Apple Intelligence on an A18 chip and may be offered in a larger model on a robotic arm.
Polish garage‑gate manufacturer Wiśniowski, celebrating 37 years in the market, has introduced a fully smart garage gate that can be opened via a QR‑code scanned by a smartphone app, without any additional hardware or subscription. The company claims about 50 % of the domestic garage‑gate market and exports roughly 40 % of its products, positioning the smart gate as part of a broader push to make smart‑home solutions standard in Europe.
