Smart updates Spanish lineup with new AWD Smart #5

Smart has updated its vehicle lineup in Spain, introducing changes to the #1, #3, and #5 models. The most significant update is the introduction of an all-wheel drive (AWD) option for the Smart #5 SUV.

Previously, the AWD configuration was exclusive to the Brabus version. The new AWD option is now available for the Premium trim, featuring a second electric motor on the front axle that delivers 588 CV (432 kW). This configuration utilizes a 100 kWh battery and offers a combined range of 540 km, which is 50 km less than the single-motor version. The Smart #5 Premium AWD is priced at 61,360 euros, representing a 2,500 euro increase over the rear-wheel-drive variant.

Additionally, Smart is introducing the ‘Black Collection’ trim for the Pro+ versions of all three models. This package adds black aesthetic details to the exterior—including the grille, diffuser, side skirts, roof bars, and wheels—as well as the interior. The Black Collection carries a 600 euro premium over the standard Pro+ trims. The brand has also expanded its palette of exterior colors and interior upholstery options across the entire range.
