SMARTcup Liguria competition reaches record number of projects

The fourteenth edition of SMARTcup Liguria, a business plan competition organized by the Liguria Region and managed by Filse, has concluded in Genoa. The event saw a record-breaking 72 applications, signaling significant innovative activity within the region.

Approximately 50% of the submitted projects are in advanced stages of development, nearing prototyping or market entry. A prominent trend among the finalists was the integration of artificial intelligence to address challenges in sectors such as health, industry, logistics, and energy.

Hybrain, a deep tech startup originating from the University of Genoa that specializes in personalized medicine solutions, was named the absolute winner of the competition.
