Smarter E Europe 2026 showcases 24/7 renewable power supply in Munich

From June 23‑25 2026, the Smarter E Europe exhibition in Munich will host around 2,800 exhibitors presenting technologies aimed at delivering a continuous, renewable energy supply. The event’s special “Renewables 24/7” showcase is built around a new Fraunhofer ISE study that models a cost‑optimal, fully renewable German power system by 2045. Speakers at the opening forum include German Bundestag member Michael Kellner, renewable‑energy federation president Ursula Heinen‑Esser and climate activist Luisa Neubauer, who will discuss the technical and social viability of a 24/7 renewable grid.

The programme also features a Hydrogen Dialogue Summit and a bidirectional‑zone display for electric‑vehicle grid integration, underscoring the role of e‑mobility and green hydrogen in the transition. Organisers anticipate more than 100,000 visitors, positioning the fair as a key meeting point for industry, policymakers and researchers to exchange market‑ready solutions for a resilient, climate‑neutral energy future.
