Smartphone battery drain and laptop slowdown: simple fixes for users

Many Indonesian users report that smartphones lose charge quickly even when idle. The main causes are background apps that keep updating data, constantly active Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth or GPS, high screen brightness, widgets and live wallpapers, excessive notifications, faulty hardware and improper charging habits. Recommendations include reviewing battery‑usage stats, disabling unnecessary background processes, turning off unused connectivity features, lowering brightness or using auto‑brightness, removing non‑essential widgets, limiting notifications, checking for hardware issues at service centers, and charging the battery between 20‑30 % and 80‑90 %.

Laptop owners also experience slow performance, often due to background applications, unnecessary startup programs, accumulated junk files, unused software and infrequent restarts. Users can improve speed by closing idle apps via Task Manager, disabling non‑essential startup items, running Disk Cleanup or similar tools to remove temporary files, uninstalling programs that are no longer needed, and restarting the machine regularly to clear caches and free memory.
