Smartports to develop five energy hubs in France
Smartports has signed an agreement with NOV’ HABITAT to develop five new energy hubs across residential areas in the Champagne region of France. The project aims to transform existing parking surfaces into energy infrastructure without requiring additional land use.
The installations will feature 224 kWp of solar capacity, 1 MWh of battery storage, and 44 electric vehicle charging points. Additionally, 70 parking spaces will be equipped with solar carports to provide weather protection for vehicles while generating renewable electricity. This initiative is part of Smartports’ expansion in France, focusing on scalable energy ecosystems that combine solar energy, storage, and charging capabilities.
