Smartwings reduces winter flight schedule from Prague

Smartwings is reducing its winter flight schedule from Prague, implementing several cancellations and frequency cuts. The most significant changes affect Spanish destinations, including the suspension of flights to Valencia from November 2 until March. Other reductions include Málaga, which will move to one flight per day, Barcelona, which will operate four to six times a week, and Mallorca, which will see flights cut from four to two per week. Flights to Nice, France, are also suspended until early March.

Additionally, the airline has postponed the launch of new routes to Venice and Bergen, Norway, until spring 2027, and delayed the restoration of services to Brussels and Bucharest.

Eurowings is also adjusting its Prague schedule by cancelling planned winter flights to Madeira, Portugal, though it will offer tickets through a partnership with Smartwings. The German carrier will also suspend its Prague–Stockholm service for most of January. These adjustments are attributed to rising operating costs, specifically the doubling of jet fuel prices in Europe as reported by Eurocontrol.
