SMC Tollways announces toll discount for agricultural truckers

SMC Tollways has announced that truck operators transporting agricultural products must enroll by October 31 to receive a 5 percent toll discount. The discount will be applicable from November 1 to November 30 across five expressways: the Skyway System, NAIA Expressway (NAIAX), South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), STAR Tollway, and Tarlac Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX).

The initiative is part of a government program led by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) intended to lower food transportation costs amid rising fuel prices. To qualify, trucks must be accredited by the Department of Agriculture (DA) and enrolled in the program.

New applicants are required to submit their vehicle’s official receipt and certificate of registration, a valid DA Accreditation Certificate, and a copy of their Autosweep RFID card. Previously enrolled operators with valid DA accreditation will automatically qualify for the November discount.
