Smíchov railway station modernization enters new phase
Modernization efforts at the Smíchov railway station in Prague are progressing, with significant work occurring on the existing third and the entirely new fourth platforms. These platforms are scheduled to open to the public in October and are currently being equipped with shelters, waiting areas, and escalators.
Construction is entering a new phase that includes the installation of a walkway connecting Smíchov and Radlice. Due to these works, a track closure between Smíchov and Radotín has commenced earlier than originally planned. This will result in limited service for some morning and afternoon trains, though the impact is expected to be minimal. Coordinators will be present at the station to assist passengers with navigation.
