SMDC and Pag-IBIG Fund partner to expand housing access

SM Development Corporation (SMDC) and the state-run Pag-IBIG Fund have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to expand housing options for Filipino workers through the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program.

The collaboration focuses on providing preferential pricing on selected SMDC units, buyer education, and specialized homebuyer programs. Participating developments include Coast Residences and ICE Tower in Pasay City, Spring Residences in Parañaque City, selected phases of Hill Residences in Quezon City, and SMDC Cheerful Homes 1 and 2 in Pampanga. SMDC also plans to add developments in Makati City, Mandaluyong City, and Pasay City.

This partnership follows Pag-IBIG Fund’s recent decision to increase its maximum housing loan amount from ₱6 million to ₱10 million. Housing Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling noted that the initiative aims to provide workers and their families with opportunities to own homes closer to their places of employment. SMDC is the third developer to join the 4PH program, following previous partnerships with Avida Land Corp. and Amaia Land Corp.
