SME training initiatives launched in Argentina and Chile

Various regional initiatives are underway to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs through specialized training in Argentina and Chile.

In Mendoza, Argentina, the Instituto de Desarrollo Industrial, Tecnológico y de Servicios (IDITS), in collaboration with Banco Nación, the Consejo Federal de Inversiones, and Cuyo Aval, is hosting a training session titled “Cómo preparar a tu pyme para acceder a un financiamiento”. The program aims to help SMEs reduce errors and inconsistencies in credit documentation to improve their chances of securing financing. The session will provide participants with insights into the evaluation criteria used by financial entities and guarantee companies.

In the Maule region of Chile, the Fondo de Solidaridad e Inversión Social (FOSIS) and the Defensoría del Contribuyente (Dedecon) are providing free technical guidance to female entrepreneurs. The workshops focus on tax matters, business formalization, and the rights and duties of entrepreneurs. This initiative seeks to empower small business owners by providing essential tax knowledge without the high cost of professional accounting services.
