Smilegate announces Steam release for Epic Seven

Smilegate has announced that its mobile RPG, Epic Seven, will expand to Steam with a planned release later this year. The announcement was made during the game’s 8th anniversary “Infinity” showcase. The Steam version will support account linking via STOVE, gamepad controls, and the introduction of new regional servers to provide independent matchmaking for new players.

To celebrate the anniversary, Smilegate is introducing several major updates, including a new side story titled “Paradise Lost,” new heroes such as Lisette and Uncharted Pioneer Politis, and the game’s first official roguelike mode, “Dimensional Exploration.” The update also features a collaboration with Smilegate’s other title, Chaos Zero Nightmare.

Additional quality-of-life improvements include an offline auto-battle function. Furthermore, the company announced the Epic Seven World Championship (E7WC 2026), a global e-sports tournament with the finals scheduled to take place in Seoul, South Korea, on November 28.
