Smithers Brewing Company wins multiple awards at Canada Beer Cup

Smithers Brewing Company earned multiple accolades at the Canada Beer Cup held in Calgary, Alberta, on October 8. The brewery’s Let’s Get Ready to Crumble Tart Ale placed third in the Best of Show category and secured a gold medal in the Specialty Fruit Beer category.

Additional honors for Smithers Brewing Company included a gold medal for its House of Commons Canada Common brew in the American Amber Beer category, as well as silver medals for Bootlegger Brown Ale and Smithersbräu Festbier.

The 2026 Canada Beer Cup, presented by the Canadian Craft Brewers Association, featured 174 medals across 48 beer categories, five cider categories, and three packaging categories. The top honors for Best of Show went to Tickity Boo by Twin City Brewing Company, while the silver medal was awarded to Sons of Kent Brewing Company for its Mammoth Barrel Aged Imperial Stout.
