Smotrich and Feiglin form alliance for Israeli elections

Bezalel Smotrich, chairman of the Religious Zionist Party, and Moshe Feiglin, leader of Zehut, have announced a political alliance to contest the upcoming elections for the 26th Knesset together. The agreement establishes a 13-candidate slate designed to consolidate the national-religious camp and prevent right-wing votes from being lost.

Under the terms of the agreement, Smotrich will lead the ticket, with Feiglin placed in the second position. The slate includes several Religious Zionist candidates in consecutive high-ranking spots, while Zehut candidates will occupy the eighth, tenth, and eleventh positions. Both leaders emphasized that while they intend to maintain their individual political identities and acknowledge existing differences, the alliance serves as a step toward building a broader right-wing bloc.

Smotrich described the upcoming election as critical, citing key issues such as national security, the judicial system, the future of settlements in Judea and Samaria, and the prevention of a Palestinian state. The leaders indicated that this is the first of potentially many alliances, expressing interest in further cooperation with other right-wing political forces.
