Smriti Irani appointed BJP state in-charge for Chhattisgarh

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed Smriti Irani as the new state in-charge for Chhattisgarh. Alongside her appointment, Siddharth Shambhu has been named as the co-in-charge for the state. This organizational shift was announced by BJP National President Nitin Nabin.

Following the announcement, a political confrontation emerged between the BJP and the Congress party in Chhattisgarh. The BJP released a poster depicting Irani kicking Rahul Gandhi, accompanied by text suggesting that opponents are intimidated by her name. In response, the Chhattisgarh Congress issued a counter-poster on social media mocking the BJP regarding sugar prices.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai welcomed the appointment, describing it as a matter of good fortune for the state. Meanwhile, opposition figures criticized the move, citing past political controversies involving Irani.
