SMS group GmbH wins 2026 Inclusion Prize for Business

Three companies have been awarded the 2026 Inclusion Prize for Business for their exemplary training and employment of people with disabilities. This marks the eleventh year of the award, which highlights best practices for inclusion in the labor market.

SMS group GmbH received the award in the ‘Large Companies and Corporations’ category. The international plant engineering group was recognized for its holistic and strategically anchored approach to inclusion, which integrates inclusive personnel management with measures to promote mental health and barrier-free environments.

Daniel Terzenbach, Board Member of the Federal Employment Agency, stated that the winners demonstrate how diversity fosters innovation and helps companies remain resilient amidst demographic changes. Bärbel Bas, the patron of the award, noted that inclusive companies secure engaged skilled workers and increase their attractiveness through diverse corporate cultures.
