Pisa launches accessibility project for SMSBiblio library

Various cultural and library initiatives are being launched across different Italian municipalities. In Pisa, the SMSBiblio has launched the ‘Leggere senza barriere’ (Reading without barriers) project. Funded by the Centro per il libro e la lettura (CEPELL), this 12-month initiative aims to improve accessibility for individuals with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities by upgrading library spaces, tools, and materials.

In Misano Adriatico, the municipal library is celebrating its 22nd anniversary with a weekend of cultural events, including philosophy, music, and reading, organized in collaboration with local community associations. Meanwhile, Piobesi Torinese is hosting events for the ‘Festa delle Biblioteche,’ featuring book presentations and a ‘Silent Book Party’ at the castle park. Additionally, a photography exhibition titled ‘Attimi’ by Giulio Festa is scheduled at the Mondadori Bookstore in Maddaloni, focusing on the theme of human diversity through portraiture.
