SMU and Texas Tech women's soccer play to 1-1 draw

SMU and No. 17 Texas Tech played to a 1-1 draw in a women’s soccer match held at Washburne Stadium in Dallas.

Texas Tech took an early lead in the 38th minute when Storie Sexton scored following a pass from Alana Harry. Despite the Red Raiders' dominance in the first half, SMU adjusted their play in the second half to become more aggressive.

SMU secured the equalizer in the 72nd minute when Julianne Richter scored. Texas Tech goalkeeper Addie Todd recorded five saves to prevent further SMU scoring, while Texas Tech's late offensive attempts, including a header by Kylie Bahr, failed to break the tie. The result extends Texas Tech’s unbeaten streak to 10 matches.
