Louisville hosts No. 16 SMU in ranked ACC matchup

No. 23 Louisville is set to host No. 16 SMU at L&N Stadium this Saturday for a ranked Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) matchup. The game marks the start of conference play for the Cardinals, who enter the contest following a high-scoring 59-point victory over Villanova in their home opener.

Louisville quarterback Lincoln Kienholz has recorded 300 passing yards in each of his first two games this season, including four touchdown passes of 50 yards or more. Despite their offensive momentum, the Cardinals face an injury challenge, with eight players listed as out, including several offensive linemen and tight end Travis Egan. However, offensive lineman Anwar O’Neal and wide receiver Montavin Quisenberry are listed as probable, which could bolster the team's depth.
