Sơn La’s Rock Snail and Sơn Tra Flower Seasons Drive Community Tourism

During the rainy season, residents of Sơn La province’s high‑land districts such as Vân Hồ, Bắc Yên, Phù Yên and Mường La climb the forest to collect rock snails (ốc núi đá). The snails, which fetch 60 000‑80 000 VND per kilogram, are sold to restaurants in nearby provinces and to markets in Hanoi, Hưng Yên and Phú Thọ.
