Snail Games unveils 9 Yin Sutra: Wuxia martial arts RPG

Snail Games has unveiled its new project, 9 Yin Sutra: Wuxia, an open-world martial arts RPG inspired by ancient Chinese legends. Revealed during Gamescom, the title is being developed using Unreal Engine 5 for PC via Steam.

Set in a fictional Chinese empire, the game features a vast environment ranging from the Yangtze River delta to rugged mountain ranges. The world includes dynamic weather systems such as blizzards and sandstorms, and players can engage in various activities including fishing, herb gathering, medicine preparation, blacksmithing, and building.

The gameplay focuses on a combat system centered on timing and precision, allowing players to develop unique fighting styles. Unlike the developer's previous titles, this is a single-player experience with online cooperative modes. The game aims for AAA quality, featuring over one thousand unique NPCs with individual routines and relationships that react to player choices.
