SNAMI declares state of agitation for doctors in Emilia-Romagna

The National Autonomous Union of Italian Doctors (SNAMI) has declared a state of agitation for contracted general practitioners in the Emilia-Romagna region. The union has requested that the Prefecture of Bologna activate legal conciliation procedures for essential public services.

SNAMI cites several grievances following the implementation of a Regional Integrative Agreement that the union did not sign. Key issues include heavy working hours, specifically the requirement for functional aggregation teams to cover 10 to 12 hours daily, which the union claims lacks a basis in the National Collective Agreement.

Additionally, the union has reported significant financial discrepancies, including unpaid fees for occasional visits and services rendered in Community Houses, some of which date back to 2022. They also criticized the lack of uniform criteria for team access and the absence of a clear regional framework for operational centers.
