Snapdragon X Elite Enables External RTX 4060 on Windows on ARM

A recent test demonstrated that a notebook powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite processor can operate an external NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU via an eGPU dock. The setup proves Windows‑on‑ARM devices, traditionally limited to integrated graphics, can now access full‑desktop GPU performance for demanding tasks such as gaming, 3D rendering, and AI workloads.

The achievement required ARM‑compatible NVIDIA drivers, underscoring the growing software support for the ARM platform. While the configuration is not yet a mainstream consumer solution, it signals that ARM‑based laptops may become viable for high‑performance applications, blending Qualcomm’s efficiency with NVIDIA’s graphics power.
