Snappy Group secures seven-figure funding from Virgin Money

Scottish retail technology scaleup Snappy Group has secured a seven-figure funding facility from Virgin Money’s venture debt team. The Dundee-founded company intends to use the capital to expand its retail technology and marketplace platforms across the United Kingdom.

Snappy Group, primarily known for its quick-commerce marketplace Snappy Shopper, has transitioned into a broader technology provider offering order aggregation, white-label solutions, and retail media services. The company reported that annualized grocery gross merchandise value (GMV) has exceeded £150 million, with transaction volumes reaching record levels.

Recent partnerships include collaborations with retailers such as Co-op, SPAR, Morrisons, and Musgrave. Snappy Group CFO Barry McGonagle stated that the facility provides the flexibility to accelerate growth and meet increasing enterprise demand.
