Sneekweek Sailing Festival Calls for Stories and Announces 2026 National Championship

The organizers of Sneekweek, the annual sailing festival in Sneek, Netherlands, have launched a "Back to the Future" call inviting long‑time participants to submit personal stories, photos and memories of the event’s 175‑year history. Submissions can be sent to the festival’s media contact.

The Dutch National Championship for 12‑foot jollen will be held during Sneekweek from 4 to 6 September 2026. Registration is open via the KWS Sneek website. Jan Spijkerman will serve as race leader and Harm Yntema as race secretary, with an organising committee that includes Jacqueline, Jos, Erik and regional commissioner Tseard de Jong. Facilities at the Roerkoning harbour, including overnight accommodation and a social programme of a dockside reception and a dinner, are available for participants.
